TASS reported that "this is the first official foreign visit of Nyam-Osoryn Uchral since his election in November 2025 as the 14th Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia," and that he allegedly is a descendant of Russian emigrants.
A representative of the press service of the Great State Hural, Tögsbayar Batsaykhan, today refuted the information published on the TASS website. He emphasized that the information regarding the origin of Speaker Uchral Nyam-Osoryn contained in the publication by the Russian agency is not true and is false. "Biographical data, education, and career achievements of the Chairman of the Great State Hural are available in open sources.
The dissemination of false information about a person's origin is ethically unacceptable. Such data is not reflected in official biographies and documents.
We urge international media to fact-check and respect the honor and reputation of individuals. We hope that TASS will correct this error," said Tögsbayar Batsaykhan.
