According to the new amendments, migrants are required to ensure their own livelihood and the support of family members who are dependent on them and reside in Russia, at a level not lower than the subsistence minimum, taking into account regional characteristics. However, this rule will not apply to those who are obtaining a patent for the first time, as well as to those who work exclusively for individuals for personal needs, as stated in the document.

Additionally, on February 6 of this year, the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation approved a bill that introduces stricter requirements for medical examinations for foreign citizens. According to this document, foreigners coming to Russia for work, study, or other purposes for more than 90 days are required to undergo medical testing for HIV and drugs within the first month of their stay, and then annually. Violations of these requirements are subject to fines ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 rubles.
