The FSB showed the faces of the participants in the assassination attempt on General Vladimir Alexeev
In the case of the assassination attempt on Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeev in Moscow, Lyubomir Korba and Viktor Vasin have been detained, who reportedly confessed their guilt, as announced by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB of Russia.
According to the FSB, the detainees acted on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Polish special services were also involved in recruiting the direct executor of the crime — Lyubomir Korba — who used his son, 25-year-old Lubosh Korba, living in Katowice.
According to the FSB, Lyubomir Korba was recruited in August 2025 and then underwent training at a shooting range in Kyiv, after which he traveled to Russia via the route: Kyiv — Chișinău — Tbilisi — Moscow.
The FSB claims that for the assassination of General Alexeev, the Ukrainian special services promised a reward of 30 thousand dollars.
In Moscow, Korba, according to the FSB's version, monitored high-profile military personnel. In his confession, he stated that in December 2025 he received an assignment to eliminate Alexeev. He picked up a PM pistol with a silencer, ammunition, and an electronic key to enter the entrance where Alexeev lived, which was provided to him by Zinaida Serebrytskaya. She lived in the same building as the general and, according to the FSB, "went to Ukraine."
Viktor Vasin, an accomplice in the assassination attempt, rented an apartment for Korba and provided him with public transport passes. The FSB stated that Vasin is a supporter of the international "Anti-Corruption Foundation," participated in protest actions in Moscow, and registered on the "Smart Voting" and "Navalny's Headquarters" platforms, posting materials against amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and in support of the convicted extremist Sergey Udaltsov.
The assassination attempt on Lieutenant General of the Russian Ministry of Defense Vladimir Alexeev occurred on the morning of February 6. He was shot multiple times in the entrance of his house on Volokolamsk Highway in Moscow. The general was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but on February 7 it became known that he regained consciousness after surgery. The Russian side accused Ukraine of organizing the assassination attempt, but Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga denied these accusations.
