The first medal for the Mongolian team was won by Temülen Khadbaatar, a member of the national team and an international class sports master. In the individual time trial over a distance of 24.6 km in the under-23 age group, he recorded a time of 30 minutes and 22.88 seconds, earning him the silver medal. This award marked his second silver medal at the Asian Championships in his career.
