At a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Mongolia, Nguyen Duan Thanh, the President's Advisor on Foreign Policy, Odbayar Erdenetsogt, discussed important issues. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

The discussion concerned the implementation of agreements reached during the visits of the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, to Vietnam in 2023 and the visit of the President of Vietnam, To Lam, to Mongolia in 2024. As a result of these visits, many documents related to cooperation between the two countries were signed.

Last year, Mongolia exported 100 tons of goat meat to Vietnam as part of cooperation in agriculture and the food industry.

According to Ambassador Nguyen Duan Thanh, production and sale of four types of products made from Mongolian goat meat has begun in Vietnam.

The discussion also addressed measures to activate the implementation of the work plan that will be carried out after the state visit, as well as deepening cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, culture, and education.

Goat meat, which comes from domestic goats (Capra hircus), is one of the most popular types of red meat in Mongolia. It is a dietary product, low in calories, and rich in proteins and amino acids, making it versatile for various cooking methods.

In terms of taste, goat meat is comparable to lamb, having a moderately salty flavor, unlike the sweetish taste of beef. Young goat meat is pale pink, while the meat from older animals has a brick-red hue and darkens when exposed to air. Goat fat, in turn, is pure white.

Goat meat is an excellent source of B vitamins, as well as pantothenic, folic, and para-aminobenzoic acids, including choline. In terms of vitamins A, B1, and B2, it significantly surpasses the meat of other livestock.
