The Third Asian Conference on Permafrost Research will be held in Ulaanbaatar.
The conference will serve as a platform to discuss an important topic: "Changes and challenges associated with permafrost degradation in Asia." More than 360 researchers from 25 countries, including the USA, China, India, Japan, Norway, Germany, Canada, and Russia, have expressed their desire to participate in this event.
Additionally, during the conference, participants will have the opportunity to visit field studies taking place in the picturesque areas of the Altai, Hangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentii mountain regions. It is also worth noting that the conference is organized with the support of the Northwest Institute of Ecology, Environment, and Resources (NIEER) from China.
