Aibek Smadiyarov has become an advisor and press secretary to the President of Kazakhstan
The document states: "Aibek Smadiyarov has been appointed as the advisor to the president and press secretary, while being relieved of his previous position."
Smadiyarov is a graduate of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablai Khan. He holds the rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the II class and is proficient in several languages, including English and Turkish. Prior to his new appointment, which takes effect until mid-December 2025, he served as the chairman of the Committee for International Information, also known as the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After that, he was appointed head of the Department of Domestic Policy of the Presidential Administration.
Ruslan Zheldibay, who served as the assistant and press secretary to the president since September 2025, has been relieved of his duties.
