Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has decided to relieve Ruslan Zheldibay from his position as his advisor. Instead, Aibek Smadiyarov has been appointed as the new advisor and press secretary of the head of state. This became known through a message from Akorda.

Smadiyarov previously worked in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for seven years before announcing his departure in early December.

On December 15, it became known that he received a new position in the presidential administration.

According to information from the "Paragraph" system, Aibek Smadiyarov was born in southern Kazakhstan and graduated in 2004 from the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablai Khan, where he specialized in "Documents Specialist - Internationalist".

Prior to his new appointment, he also worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the presidential administration.
