
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasizes in its statement that the republic advocates for the peaceful resolution of all conflicts exclusively through diplomatic channels and calls on all parties to respect the principles of the UN Charter and norms of international law.
“The Republic of Tajikistan strongly urges adherence to the principles of the UN Charter and norms of international law, as well as active measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region,” the official comment states.
It is also worth noting that the day before, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that an "armada of American ships" is heading towards Iran.
“At this moment, a magnificent armada is confidently heading towards Iran; let’s see what happens,” Trump said at an event held in Iowa.
He added that he hopes for the possibility of an agreement between Tehran and Washington, but did not specify what agreement he was referring to.
