The number of victims in the ferry disaster in southern Philippines has risen to 18
According to GMA News, as a result of the incident, 317 people were rescued, while 24 people are reported missing. Survivors note that the sea was calm at the time of the incident. As reported by AFP, there were 342 people on board. The ferry Trisha Kerstin 3 sank off the coast of Pila's Island on the night of January 26. The vessel was en route from Zamboanga City to Holo Island, and according to the coast guard, it was not overloaded. The causes of the accident are currently under investigation.
