Matthias Fleitzberger
Growing up in Vienna, Matthias Fleitzberger began his studies at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts at the age of five. By the age of twelve, he had already won first prize at the Austrian youth competition "Jugend musiziert" and was accepted into Hans Graf's class, where he graduated with honors. His mentors included renowned figures such as Bruno Seidlhof, Tatiana Nikolayeva, and Leon Fleisher. Fleitzberger also became a winner of international piano competitions, including Busoni and Rubinstein.

After advice from Rolf Liebermann and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, he began a career as an opera conductor, working as a répétiteur in Salzburg and the Prague State Opera, as well as a musical director at the Vienna Festival. As a conductor, he worked at the St. Gallen Theatre and later became the general director of the Sofiensaal — one of the oldest cultural venues in Vienna, where he led various programs, including operas and gala concerts. He later decided to return to classical music.

Since 2008, Fleitzberger has been actively performing as a conductor and pianist (as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician). In 2011, he released the album Violin in Motion on the Deutsche Grammophon label, featuring arrangements of famous ballets. His debut in North America took place in January 2013 as part of the "Greetings from Vienna" concert series in Canada.

In collaboration with theater producer Selçuk Kara, Fleitzberger developed the musical concept for the opera "The Charm of Wagner," which premiered in Prague in October 2018. From 2018 to 2020, he was the conductor of the first South Korean production of Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelung" in Seoul, directed by Achim Freyer.
