Mongolian Students Shine at the 2026 Asian Chemistry Olympiad, Winning 5 Medals


From January 15 to 18, the Second Asian Chemistry Olympiad (AChO 2026) took place in Bali, Indonesia, gathering participants from 12 countries and territories in Asia. Thousands of outstanding high school students competed for prizes at levels A and B.

The Mongolian team, consisting of five students from "Sant" high school, demonstrated high results, winning 1 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal at the Asian Chemistry Olympiad 2026 (AChO).

The gold medal in the 10-12 grade category was won by "Sant" high school student KHULAN Mönkhbayar.


Silver medals were awarded to ENKHJIN.B, ARIUNBOLOR.B, and TSOGTZUL.M, while ANAND.G received a bronze award.

The achievements at the AChO 2026 Olympiad confirm the high level of academic preparation of Mongolian students, demonstrating their readiness to participate in international competitions.

The AChO 2026 Olympiad, organized by the Olympiad Organizational Center in STEM (OCSO), aims to develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and computational thinking through practical competitions and Olympiad challenges.

The Asian Chemistry Olympiad is an annual international competition conducted in English for students in grades 7-12. This competition provides participants with the opportunity to develop scientific thinking and apply their knowledge in chemistry within an international academic environment.
