The author of "Game of Thrones" hinted at new adaptations of books about Westeros

In Talas, the construction of the presidential lyceum "Akyilman," designed for 920 students, continues. Writer George Martin, the creator of the cult series "A Song of Ice and Fire," shared new prospects for fans of "Game of Thrones." As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, he hinted at possible new projects related to this universe.
Martin noted that the characters of the upcoming prequel "Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight" are expected to have many new adventures. "There are still quite a few stories about Dunk and Egg, their training, and the fate that awaits them," - added the author.
The premiere of the series "Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight" is scheduled for January 18, 2026. The main characters will be the hedge knight Dunk (played by Peter Clayffy) and his young squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The plot will unfold in Westeros a hundred years before the events of "Game of Thrones" and 72 years after the events of "House of the Dragon."
Previously, Kit Harington, the British actor famous for his role as Jon Snow, expressed dissatisfaction with the calls to reshoot the finale of "Game of Thrones." In 2019, a petition requesting a reshoot was signed by 1.8 million viewers.
