The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in cooperation with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) has released information about the suspicion of corruption against one of the leaders of a parliamentary faction in the Verkhovna Rada. This accusation pertains to part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, related to the offer of unlawful benefits to officials.

According to anti-corruption agencies, this politician offered deputies money for voting "for" or "against" certain bills. However, the name of the suspect is not disclosed in the statement.

Various sources, including "Ukrainska Pravda," "Suspilne," and "Ukrainian BBC Service," report that this concerns Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the "Batkivshchyna" party. So far, Tymoshenko and her associates have not commented on these accusations. According to "Ukrainska Pravda," searches were conducted at the "Batkivshchyna" office in Kyiv on January 13.

The publication "Obozrevatel" also claims that David Arakhamia, who heads the presidential party "Servant of the People," is involved in this case.

It is worth noting that in July 2025, Tymoshenko's faction fully supported a bill that implied the elimination of the independence of NABU and SAP. Later, they were among the few deputies who did not support the restoration of the powers of these anti-corruption agencies.

At the end of December last year, NABU and SAP reported conducting an undercover operation that uncovered an organized criminal group, which included current people's deputies. The investigation claims that the members of this group systematically used their powers to gain unlawful benefits when voting on bills in the Verkhovna Rada.
