Secretary General of the CSTO: The Middle Corridor has become a strategically important route East–West
Kubanychbek Omuraliev emphasized that the Middle Corridor has become an important artery for connecting the East and the West. He noted its significance in the context of enhancing resilience, diversification, and ecological stability of global supply chains, based on the traditions of the Silk Road.
The event gathered high-profile participants, including representatives from international organizations, transport agencies of the member states of the CSTO, as well as representatives from financial institutions and businesses. Participants actively discussed ways to eliminate bottlenecks, improve border crossings, digitize transport processes, and opportunities to strengthen public-private partnerships.
Omuraliev expressed gratitude to the leadership of the OSCE and all participants for the fruitful exchange of views, emphasizing that the Organization of Turkic States will continue to promote the ideas of connectivity and trade facilitation as important directions for regional cooperation and sustainable development.
