The introduction of trams in Ulaanbaatar will reduce traffic congestion and improve the environment
The city administration claims that the implementation of this project will lead to a reduction in bus routes, which in turn will improve the quality of passenger service and increase the average speed of vehicles.
Trams will run at 5-minute intervals, with the travel time from the National Archive to Sukhbaatar Square being 37 minutes, and from the Zunjin stop in the dacha area to Sukhbaatar Square – 29 minutes.
The creation of a reliable public transport system will significantly impact the reduction of traffic jams in the city center and decrease the time that residents of Ulaanbaatar spend on daily commutes. The introduction of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions into urban infrastructure will help reduce levels of air and noise pollution.
