In Uzbekistan, the operation of methane filling stations has been restricted again.

Starting from January 8, 2023, restrictions are once again being applied to methane gas stations in Uzbekistan, as reported by the Ministry of Energy. Now, the CNG stations operate only from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The ministry explained that these measures are related to a decrease in pressure in the main gas pipelines, which requires urgent decisions. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy emphasized that the main task remains stable gas supply for households and social institutions.

“The operating schedule of the methane gas stations is established in conjunction with local authorities, taking into account the overall situation with gas supply, pressure levels, and consumer volumes. These measures are aimed at the rational use of gas resources and ensuring reliable supplies,” the ministry noted.

In conclusion, the Ministry emphasized that these measures are temporary and necessary. Currently, work is underway to restore gas pressure in the system.

It should be recalled that the previous restrictions for gas stations were introduced in December 2022, and the round-the-clock operation of CNG stations was restored on December 30 of the same year.
