Venezuelan Authorities Report 100 Dead as a Result of U.S. Operation

According to the Venezuelan Minister of Internal Affairs Diosdado Cabello, at least 100 people have died as a result of the U.S. attack on the country.

"Currently, 100 fatalities have been recorded. Approximately the same number of people have been injured. Among the victims are civilians, including women who were in their homes. They became victims of powerful bombs dropped on our territory," CNN reports his words.

American authorities, in turn, estimated the number of deaths during the operation to capture Maduro at around 75 people, among whom there are also casualties resulting from a shootout near his residence in Caracas.
