Camel races were held in the Sukhondulaan sum.

The camel racing competition took place on January 3 in the Sukhbaatar sum, located in the Dornogov province. This information was provided by the Montsame news agency.

The event was organized by the sum administration, the citizens' representative khural, and the regional federation of camel breeders.

More than 20 camel breeders from various provinces participated in the competition, including Dornogov, Umnugov, Dundgovi, Bayankhongor, Govi-Altai, and Uvurkhangai.

The first place in the male category was taken by a camel belonging to Usukhbayar from the Bayandalai sum of Umnugov province. Following him were the camels of K. Orgil-Erdene and L. Munguntsog from the Tsogt-Ovoo sum (Umnugov), who took second and third places respectively.

Dornogov is one of the leading provinces in Mongolia in terms of camel population, with over 50,000 of these animals registered. The Sukhbaatar sum, which is home to more than 6,000 camels, is among the top five in terms of camel population in the province.
