The National Camel Festival will be held in the aimag of Dundgovi

506

The festival aims to promote the unique culture of Mongolian camels, including the Bactrian camels with two humps, as well as to expand economic opportunities related to camel products and to pass on the rich heritage of camel breeding to future generations.

The event program includes meetings of camel breeders from across the country, competitions of camel culture masters, and races on adult male camels (atan), two-year-old camels (tor), and three-year-old camels (tailag).

Previously, in 2016, the "Mongolian Camels-999" competition took place in Dalanzadgad, Umnogovi Province, gathering 1,108 camels and setting a record recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest camel race in history.
