Two Boxers from Batken Participated in an International Tournament in Thailand: One of Them Won Bronze

At the World Boxing U-19 Futures Cup held in Thailand, Kyrgyz boxer Zarina Asanova was awarded a bronze medal.

This information was provided by the sports department of the Kyzyl-Kiya city administration, located in the Batken region.

The tournament took place from March 8 to 15, and two female boxers represented Kyzyl-Kiya. Zarina Asanova took third place in the weight category up to 70 kg.

In the semifinals of the competition, she was defeated by her Italian opponent, which determined her final position on the podium.

Currently, both Kyrgyz athletes are returning home after participating in the competitions.



In August 2025, Zarina Asanova won a bronze medal at the Asian Youth Boxing Championship in Thailand, which was held under the auspices of World Boxing. She participated in a tournament where athletes no older than 19 years competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, featuring seven female boxers.

Additionally, in May of the same year, Asanova took second place at the Asian Championship in Sri Lanka organized by IBA.
