The extraordinary meeting of the Board of the Basketball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic concluded with the unanimous election of Artem Novikov as president.
In his first address to the board members, Novikov expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of developing sports and supporting youth in the context of state policy.
He also noted that President Sadyr Japarov has repeatedly highlighted the need to promote sports in the country, and significant steps have already been taken in this direction.
According to Novikov, the main priorities for the federation will be the development of youth basketball, strengthening national teams, and expanding sports infrastructure throughout Kyrgyzstan.
Congratulating Novikov on his election, the chairman of the board, Niyaz Isakov, expressed confidence that his management experience will be a catalyst for the further growth of basketball in the republic.
