In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the Universiade will take place from March 11 to April 27. This information was announced by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
It is expected that about 2500–3000 students from various higher educational institutions in the country will participate in the event.
The opening of the Universiade is scheduled for March 12 at 15:00 at the Gazprom Physical Culture and Health Sports Complex.
Competitions will be organized within the framework of the Higher and I leagues. Students will compete in 15 sports disciplines:

- toguz korgool
- chess
- athletics
- weightlifting
- freestyle wrestling
- Greco-Roman wrestling
- sambo
- judo
- boxing
