The Virus Weightlifting Series competitions took place from March 5 to 8 in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the Arnold Sports Festival, which was founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself in 1989.
Rasulbekov competed in the weight category up to 110 kg, where he faced off against 107 other athletes.
In his first attempt in the snatch, the Kyrgyzstani lifted a barbell weighing 160 kg, then improved his result to 165 kg in the second attempt. However, his final attempt at 170 kg was unsuccessful.
Nevertheless, the result of 165 kg in the snatch turned out to be the best among all participants, earning him a small gold medal in this discipline.
As for the clean and jerk, Bekdolot, representing the Marin Heavy Athletics team, successfully completed all three attempts with weights of 190, 200, and 210 kg, winning another small gold medal.
The total weight of 375 kg allowed him to take first place and receive the main gold medal.
Based on the results of the weightlifting competitions, Bekdolot Rasulbekov was recognized as the most valuable athlete (MVP) of the tournament.
