In Kyrgyzstan, the school sports league has resumed operations, covering football, volleyball, and basketball. This was announced by Urmat Asanbaev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, at a meeting of the parliamentary committee.

During the discussion, deputy Bolot Saginayev emphasized that the active development of football and volleyball largely depends on school leagues. He noted that when regular school tournaments were held, children's interest in sports significantly increased, and they participated more frequently in various competitions, achieving high results.

Among the issues raised by the deputy was the revival of the school league.

Urmat Asanbaev confirmed that the project has been relaunched. He noted that team registration has been completed, and around 2,000 teams are participating this season.

The head of the agency added that three sports are represented in the school league: football, volleyball, and basketball. In the future, it is planned to include table tennis and national sports; however, as Urmat Asanbaev pointed out, the lack of sports infrastructure currently hinders the development of some disciplines.

He also reported that the fifth season of the school league has already started, with the final games scheduled for the period from May 1 to May 9.
