The sixth Volleyball Championship of Bishkek has started at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace, where the best teams of the city have gathered from March 4 to 8. The competition includes both men's and women's teams.
At the opening ceremony of the tournament, the Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Tagaev, the President of the Volleyball Federation Elmurza Satybaldiev, and the Director of the Sports Department Kanatbek Mamatov were present. In his speech, the Vice Mayor emphasized the importance of supporting the volleyball movement and expressed the local authorities' readiness to continue supporting sports initiatives.
Participating in the men's tournament are teams such as "VV MVD", "SKA MO", "Salam Alik" SI, and "Sary-Ozon". The women's teams competing for the championship title include "Bishkek", "Salam Alik", SDYUSHOR, and "Macron KG". The event is organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Bishkek City Hall and the City Volleyball Federation. The winners of the tournament will be awarded trophies, medals, diplomas, and valuable prizes.
