In his speech, Asanbaev expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for the trust placed in him and noted that he would make every effort to develop sports in Kyrgyzstan, improve the quality of sports infrastructure, and create conditions for training highly qualified athletes.
The meeting also included a farewell to the previous director, Kazibek Moldazhiyev.
Professional path of Urmat Asanbaev:
• Since 2007 to the present — works as a teacher and coach at the Department of National Sports at the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports.
• 2009–2011 — instructor at the sports club "Ayuu" (Sokuluk).
• 2013–2014 — teacher of national sports at the T. Ermatov Music and Pedagogical College.
• 2013–2015 — instructor at the sports club "Zamandash".
• Since 2018 — vice president of the ADCC Grappling Federation of Kyrgyzstan.
• 2018–2019 — head of the civil defense and security service at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace.
• 2019–2021 — served as deputy director of the National Sports Directorate.
• Since 2021 — director of the "Zhashtyk" directorate, responsible for Olympic sports and the organization of mass sports events at the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
Awards and achievements:
• Certificates of honor from the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
• Commemorative medal from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic "95 Years of Kyrgyz Militia".
• Title of excellence in physical culture and sports, as well as the title of honored coach of Kyrgyzstan in the field of kulatuu wrestling.
• Recognized as the best athlete of 2009 and the best coach of 2013.
• Holder of a 6th dan black belt in kulatuu wrestling and a brown belt in WTF taekwondo.
• National category judge in kulatuu wrestling and international class category "B" judge in ADCC grappling and other sports.
