During a meeting between the Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazibek Moldazhiyev, and Zhang Xin, the head of Yunnan SCO Culture and Sports Co Ltd, the parties discussed the prospects for sports cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
During the negotiations, issues were raised regarding the organization of the international marathon Run the Silk Road, which is planned to be held in Bishkek, as well as preparations for the meeting of sports ministers within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The parties exchanged ideas on supporting seven regions of Kyrgyzstan, including joint initiatives and projects aimed at developing regional partnerships, improving sports infrastructure, and expanding cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, the readiness for further interaction and coordination of actions in the specified areas was confirmed.
It should be noted that the meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere, and both sides expressed interest in further developing Kyrgyz-Chinese relations in the field of physical culture and sports.
Also, we remind you that the international marathon Run the Silk Road is scheduled for May 2, 2026, on the shores of Issyk-Kul, where participation is expected from athletes and tourists from both neighboring and distant foreign countries.
