The Kyrgyzstan National Team in Freestyle Wrestling Took 7th Place at the Ranking Tournament in Albania
This tournament, which is the second in the series of ranking competitions for 2026, is taking place in Tirana.
The men's competitions were held on February 25 and 26, during which 10 sets of medals were contested.
The Kyrgyzstan national team consisted of 10 wrestlers who managed to win three medals — one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
In the team standings, the Kyrgyz team scored 55 points and placed 7th among 29 participating countries.
In the weight category up to 70 kg, the Kyrgyz wrestlers earned two medals: gold — Ernazar Akmataliev and bronze — Zalkarbek Tabaldiev. According to the rules, only the points of one athlete from each country are counted in the team standings, which resulted in Kyrgyzstan not receiving 15 points for Tabaldiev's bronze.
