Mamatov previously held the position of head of the department for educational and sports events and mass physical culture activities in the same department. His predecessor as director was Kanybek Zholchubekov.
Rustam Alisherov Alisherovich has been appointed as the deputy director, who previously worked as the chief inspector in the department for monitoring the implementation of decisions of the Organizational and Control Work Management of the Bishkek City Hall central office.
The order for the appointments was signed by the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev.
