This award was established by the Union of Sports Federations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federation of Sports Journalists of the Kyrgyz Republic last year. Throughout the year, participants submitted their works, which were then evaluated by a jury. 14 out of 58 candidates made it to the finals.
During the event, winners were announced in five categories, each receiving a cash prize of 50,000 soms.
The winners of Sport Shamy 2025 are:
- “Best Video Report of the Year” - Kyzhibek Zheenbek kyzy (“UTRK Chui”);
- “Best Photo Report of the Year” - Ksenia Tolkanova (Sport.kg);
- “Best Commentator of the Year” - Beksultan Usenaliev;
- “Best Sports Blogger of the Year” - Maria Ivanova;
- “Best Documentary of the Year” - Temirlan Jumabekov.
The jury consisted of experienced professionals in journalism and representatives of sports federations.

- Anvar Omorkanov - President of the Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Eduard Kubatov - President of the Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing;
- Kuvatbek Askarbekov - Secretary General of the Union of Sports Federations;
- Ulugbek Salymbekov - President of the Federation of Sports Journalists;
- Takhir Gafurov - Sports Journalist, Representative of the Wrestling Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Shirin Kostiuk - Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication of KNU;
- Asel Eshimkanova - Head of the Journalism Department of BGU;
- Khasan Kydyraiev - Operator, People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Guliza Avazova - Sports Journalist at Kaktus.media;
- Aizada Nuradilieva - Head of the Press Service of the Union of Sports Federations.
