At the international Open Masters Games competition, taking place in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) from February 8 to 23, Asel Sharbekova, a member of the national archery team of Kyrgyzstan, won two medals. According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the athlete received silver in the over 30 category and bronze in two categories: 30+ and 40+.
In the tournament, Asel Sharbekova represents the Kyrgyz Republic and competes under the guidance of head coach Kylchbek Nurmanbetov.
