Kyrgyzstan Teenagers Became World Champions in Arm Wrestling in Tashkent

Teenagers from the Jeti-Oguz district have won the title of world champions in arm wrestling in Tashkent. Ruslan Abdybek uulu, the head coach of the arm wrestling federation of the Issyk-Kul region, shared this news with a Turmush correspondent.

“I have been training children in the Issyk-Kul region for several years now. Currently, there are 30 young athletes training in the Jeti-Oguz district, and more than ten of them are part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan in arm wrestling,” he reported.

Ruslan also noted that the interest of young people in this sport continues to grow.

From January 30 to February 7, arm wrestling competitions were held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in which athletes from Kyrgyzstan participated. In the "seniors" category, three athletes from the village of Kyzyl-Suu showcased their skills on the international stage, demonstrating character and fighting spirit.

Among their achievements:

— Zalkar Nurlanov became the champion in the weight category up to 80 kg;

As a result of two days of intense battles on the left and right arms:

— Zalkar Nurlanov took first place among the "seniors";

— He also secured first place in the junior category.

“The fact that one athlete won gold in two categories highlights his hard work, discipline, and true sporting character,” added R. Abdybek uulu.

Additionally:

— Second place in the DMCHA was taken by Zhanibek Abdykadyrov;

— Second place among juniors was secured by Elmirek Mukambetov in the weight category of 60 kg.

“These matches were not just competitions, but a real struggle for the honor of the homeland. The only difficulty was financial issues when traveling abroad. However, the guys show excellent diligence, coming to training every day,” noted the coach.
