Islam Bayalinov won gold at the Open Masters Games

The representative of Kyrgyzstan, Islam Bayalinov, won the gold medal at the Open Masters Games 2026, held in the United Arab Emirates.

The competitions began on February 7 in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

Bayalinov, who is also the head coach of the women's judo team, competed in the under 73 kg category, starting from the quarter-finals.

Throughout the tournament, the 40-year-old athlete achieved four consecutive victories, defeating opponents from Brazil and Kazakhstan, ultimately taking first place.

It is worth noting that at the end of January, Bayalinov participated in the Kyrgyzstan Championship, where he managed to win a silver medal.
