The VIII World Championship in Mas-Wrestling is scheduled to take place from November 26 to 30, 2026, at the Ak Bars Martial Arts Palace in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Preparation for this event has already begun, led by the All-Russian Mas-Wrestling Federation under the guidance of President Mikhail Gulyaev. The Executive Director of the VFMR, Ivan Sivtsev, announced the holding of an organizational meeting on January 30 at the Ministry of Sports of Tatarstan, where the following were approved:
The program and regulations of the World Championship; the plan of activities for preparation; the financial estimate.
As part of the championship, there will also be a Conference of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation and other official events aimed at promoting mas-wrestling on the international stage.
The organizers assure that a large-scale event is expected, which will create a business atmosphere and gather athletes and representatives of federations from around the world.
