Judoists from Kyrgyzstan to participate in the 2026 Grand Slam in Paris

From February 7 to 8, the first stage of the judo world tour this year — the Grand Slam — will take place in Paris. The official website of the International Judo Federation informs about the upcoming event.

522 judokas from 81 countries will participate in the tournament, which confirms the high level of international competition.

Kyrgyzstan will be represented by three athletes at this tournament: Erbol Abasbekov (under 66 kilograms), Erlan Sherov (under 90 kilograms), and Khambolot Yrysbekov (under 66 kilograms).

The Grand Slam tournament series includes ten stages, among which are Tashkent, Tbilisi, Dushanbe, Astana, Lausanne, Ulaanbaatar, Budapest, Abu Dhabi, and Tokyo.
