According to information provided by the KFS, the match against the South Korean national team in the group stage of the 2026 Asian Cup was Alimov's final match in international competitions.
“Maksat made his debut with the team in 2013 when he participated in the qualifying matches for the Asian Cup. Since then, his name has become an integral part of the history of Kyrgyz futsal.
Throughout his career, he played in five Asian Cups, and from 2018 to 2025, he served as captain, becoming the author of many key goals and a true leader who inspired his teammates to victory,” the statement noted.
The KFS expressed gratitude to the athlete for his significant contribution to the development of futsal in Kyrgyzstan.
