Asia Cup: The Kyrgyzstan National Team Lost to Indonesia

In the 2026 Asian Cup, the Kyrgyzstan futsal team lost to the Indonesian team.

The second match of the group stage took place on January 29 in the capital of Indonesia — Jakarta.

The Kyrgyz players once again opened the scoring. In the 6th minute, the team captain scored successfully, and the ball, bouncing off the goalkeeper's hands, ended up in the net — 1:0.

However, the hosts quickly responded by converting a set piece, bringing the score to 1:1.

In the 12th minute, referees from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, after reviewing VAR, awarded a penalty against Kyrgyzstan for a handball by Doner Amanbaev. The opposing player successfully converted the penalty, putting his team ahead — 2:1.

In the second half, the Kyrgyz initially conceded another goal, but then equalized by scoring two quick goals. Shohrukh Mahmadaminov scored a brace, and Maksat Alimov converted a penalty — 3:3.

After that, the Indonesians regained the lead by scoring two consecutive goals and secured the victory.

The final score of the match was 5:3 in favor of the Indonesian team.

Thus, the Kyrgyz team suffered its second consecutive defeat and was eliminated from the tournament. The next match against Korea, which will take place on January 21, will have no tournament significance.
