The Judo Championship of Kyrgyzstan has started in Osh
The opening of the Judo Championship of Kyrgyzstan took place on January 24 in Osh. As reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, the event began with an official part led by the agency's director, Kazybek Moldazhiyev. He emphasized that such tournaments are crucial for forming the national team and for popularizing judo in the country.
Key figures attended the ceremony, including the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh region, Amankan Kenjebayev, Vice Mayor Nurlan Zakirov, President of the National Judo Federation Kuanyshbek Kongantieyev, as well as many athletes, coaches, and fans.
According to the competition information, women's competitions are held in weight categories: up to 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, and over 78 kg. The male participants will compete in categories up to 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100 kg, and over 100 kg.
“The goal of the tournament is to select candidates for the judo national team, strengthen friendship among youth, involve the younger generation in physical culture and sports, and improve the skill level of the wrestlers,” the official statement notes.
