A 27-year-old footballer Nassur Bachem died during a match in Portugal


A tragedy has occurred in Portuguese football: Nassur Bachem, a defender for the team, passed away on the field during an official match after losing consciousness.

This happened in the 27th minute of the game in the third round of the Algarve Cup, where the clubs LGC Moncarapachense and Imortal DC were facing off in the city of Olhão. The player suddenly fell to the ground, and medical teams from both clubs, as well as the club doctor, immediately rushed to assist. Later, emergency services arrived at the stadium, but unfortunately, all attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful, and the player was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the tragedy was cardiac arrest.

The club LGC Moncarapachense, representing the fourth division of Portugal, released an official statement confirming Bachem's death and expressing deep condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew the footballer.

Nassur Bachem was a graduate of the Braga youth academy, had Angolan roots, and was born in Aveiro, Portugal. The club president, Nemesiu Martins, described the incident as "sudden and shocking," noting that "there was simply no time to act."
