From January 23 to 25, the Judo Championship of Kyrgyzstan will take place in Osh, featuring both men and women. This is reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The women's competition will include weight categories: up to 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78 kg, as well as over 78 kg. Men will compete in categories up to 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100 kg and over 100 kg.
The championship has several key objectives, including the selection of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026. The tournament will also serve as a selection for candidates for the judo team, promoting unity among youth and popularizing physical culture and sports, as well as improving the level of sportsmanship among participants.
