World Championship (U-20) in Bishkek: Umar Egemberdiev Leads the Scoring Race

The forward of the Kyrgyzstan U-20 national ice hockey team, Umar Egemberdiev, is in first place in the scoring race at the World Championship.

These days, a tournament among third division teams (Group B) is taking place in Bishkek, featuring six teams.

The Kyrgyzstan national team has won both of its matches against Hong Kong and South Africa with an overall score of 11:3.

Egemberdiev, representing "Uchur" from Bishkek, made a mark by scoring three goals against Hong Kong and hitting the target twice in the game against South Africa.

Thus, he currently has 5 goals, which confidently places him in first position on the list of the tournament's top scorers.

Among other players who have distinguished themselves in the tournament, eight hockey players have scored two goals, including Kyrgyzstan's Alihan Ali-Askarov and Yegor Leshchenko.

Additionally, 23 players have managed to score one goal, among whom are also two representatives from Kyrgyzstan — Tair Supokhunov and Bayaman Zholdoshbekov.
