Igor Kudrenko has become the new coach of the youth national football team of Kyrgyzstan (U-17).

Kudrenko holds an "A" license from the AFC and a coaching diploma issued by FIFA.

He previously played for the national team of Kyrgyzstan and worked in the coaching staff under Alexander Krestinin. In 2017, Kudrenko led the U-23 team to victory in a tournament in Indonesia.

Additionally, he has held the positions of technical and sports director in the Kyrgyz Football Union.

At the club level, Kudrenko has worked with teams such as Dordoi, Bunyodkor from Tashkent, Lokomotiv (Tashkent), and Bars from Karakol.

The new task for the coach is to prepare the team for the qualifying matches for the Asian Cup, which will take place from August 29 to September 6.

Kudrenko's predecessor was Australian coach Alexander Bauer, who was dismissed after a series of failures in the qualifying tournament.

After his resignation, the team conducted the remainder of the qualifiers under the guidance of Anarbek Ormombekov.
