Deputy Bolot Saginayev raised the issue of the critical condition of this facility. He addressed the director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports, Kazbek Moldazhiyev, pointing out that other sports facilities are being repaired and built, while the Sports Palace is in extremely poor condition.
“There is an Olympic-level swimming pool here. It should be repaired, a football field should be created, and a bathhouse opened... The Palace could become self-financing,” noted the parliament member.
The head of the relevant agency reported that Sadyr Japarov has instructed to carry out repairs and reconstruction of the Sports Palace, while its status will remain the same. The mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, has been tasked with finding funding for the necessary work.
