Michael Carrick appointed interim head coach of "Manchester United"
After the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, Manchester United appointed Michael Carrick as interim head coach. The former midfielder of the team, who also has experience working at Middlesbrough, has been tasked with stabilizing the situation in the team, securing a top-4 finish in the Premier League, and qualifying for the Champions League.
Carrick's selection was unanimous among the club's management. Football director Jason Wilcox emphasized his knowledge of the club and leadership qualities, stating: "Michael is an excellent coach who understands exactly what is needed to win at Manchester United."
The coach's philosophy is based on an attacking and positive style of play, teamwork, humility, and hard work. At Middlesbrough, he managed to lead the team out of the relegation zone into the playoffs, which speaks to his strong qualities and potential for further growth.
In the coming days, Carrick will conduct his first training sessions ahead of the important Manchester derby.
