Khurkach Returns and Brings Victory to Poland Over Germany in the United Cup

Hubert Hurkacz, representing Poland, returned to the court after nearly seven months away due to injury and impressed everyone with his performance, achieving a sensational victory over German Alexander Zverev, ranked third in the world. The match in the United Cup ended with a score of 6:3, 6:4.

In July 2025, Hurkacz underwent surgery on his right knee, which caused him to miss the US Open. However, in his first match after recovery, he surprised everyone by hitting 21 aces without a single double fault and defeating the three-time Grand Slam finalist in just 1 hour and 23 minutes in Sydney.

The victory in Group F was also secured by Iga Swiatek, who overcame difficulties, defeating Eva Lis with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, allowing the Polish team to triumph over Germany.
