Details of the cancellation of the match between the national teams of Kyrgyzstan and China have become known
The tournament will take place in Saudi Arabia, where 16 teams will gather.
In preparation for this tournament, the Kyrgyz team held a training camp in the United Arab Emirates, during which two friendly matches against the Chinese national team were planned for December 23 and 29.
According to Chinese media, the teams agreed to play the matches on a "home and away" basis. The first match was supposed to take place in Ajman, where the Kyrgyz team was training, and the second on December 29 in Ras Al Khaimah, where the Chinese team was located.
During the first game, which took place on December 23 in Ajman, the referee mistakenly showed a red card to a Chinese defender in the 10th minute, leading to his dismissal. Ten minutes later, the referee also showed a second yellow card to a Kyrgyz player, who was subsequently sent off the field.
According to the preliminary agreement, a player who received two yellow cards could be substituted, while the one who received a direct red card had to leave the field for the remainder of the match.
Thus, the Kyrgyz team played almost the entire match with one player less — 11 against 10, as reported by Chinese media.
The Chinese national team won the match 1-0, thanks to a goal by Wang Yudong, who scored from 65 meters.
After this match, representatives of the Kyrgyz national team decided to cancel the second match and instead play against a club from the UAE.
In the second match, the Kyrgyz team achieved a confident victory over a third-division UAE club with a score of 6-0, after which the team headed to Saudi Arabia.
