At NCOMD, approximately 650 surgical operations are performed annually
Since its opening in June 2021, the pediatric orthopedics department, which has 25 beds, offers a wide range of medical services. Almost all types of surgeries related to orthopedics, traumatology, and microsurgery are performed here.
The department employs 9 highly qualified doctors who work in three different divisions of the NCPMC: inpatient care, the consultative-diagnostic department, and the emergency medical service. This ensures a continuous treatment process—from the initial consultation to surgical intervention and subsequent patient follow-up.
Medical assistance to children is provided both on referral and in emergency cases when there is a threat to life, and it is offered free of charge to patients from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. All children are under round-the-clock supervision by specialists and receive a full range of diagnostics and treatment.
Since the opening of the department, more than 35,000 children have received outpatient consultations for various orthopedic-traumatological conditions. Each year, about 650 surgical operations are performed here, and the total number has already exceeded three thousand.
The development of the department is facilitated by the professional development of medical staff and the improvement of the material and technical base: equipment is being updated, and modern instruments and medical products are being purchased.
