According to Bakirov, the division into "friends" and "foes" became noticeable with the arrival of the VIII convocation of the Parliament
In a recent interview, former member of the Jogorku Kenesh Omurbek Bakirov told journalist Semetey Amanbekov that even within the framework of the VII convocation of Parliament, groups associated with Kamchybek Tashiev were forming.
Bakirov believes that Tashiev began to create his political team in 2022, acting independently of the president's policies.
“The fact that the Deputy Prime Minister is forming a separate team, distinct from the president's team, is a precedent for Kyrgyzstan. There should be a unified policy in the country, determined by the president and his circle. However, Kamchybek Tashiev, while in the position of deputy, is creating his own team. If this were happening in opposition, it would be a different matter,” he noted.
Bakirov emphasized that the division into "friends" and "foes" became particularly noticeable with the beginning of the VIII convocation, although its roots go back to 2022.
“Back then, Tashiev was inviting deputies one by one, forming his faction and creating a team. We understood his intentions even then. If he is gathering a team, it indicates ambitions to become president,” Bakirov added.
