Osh and St. Petersburg will continue joint training of IT specialists

Recently, the Vice Mayor of Osh, Masuda Aydarbekova, held a meeting with Yevgeny Kasyura, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, as well as with Elena Demina, President of the Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration. Among the participants were Akim Chernikov, General Director of the "Southern" Migration Center, and Roman Svistin, Consul General of Russia in Osh. This was reported by representatives of the municipality of Osh.

During the discussion, ways to deepen cooperation between Osh and St. Petersburg were considered in areas such as trade, economy, digitalization, education, medicine, and culture.
As a result of the visit of the delegation from St. Petersburg to Osh in June 2024, an agreement was reached to continue working on projects related to the implementation of the "Safe City" initiative, as well as the development of digital services and the training of IT specialists.
The parties expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation in the field of labor migration, improve information exchange, and jointly counteract illegal migration.
